Dr. Asarnisa Begum is a Consultant Psychiatrist working at Aram Hospital, Trichy. She has completed her MBBS degree in reputed Madurai Medical College in the state of Tamil Nadu. She also completed her post-graduation in Psychiatry in Tirunelveli Medical College, which is a 2000 bedded multi-speciality district head quarters hospital affiliated with Tirunelveli Medical College in Tamil Nadu.

After competing her post- graduation, she has been working since the year 2022 in Aram Psychiatry Hospital, which is an 80 bedded tertiary care psychiatry hospital. She has been involving in managing various subspeciality centres associated with Aram Psychiatry Services like De-addiction, Long term Psychiatry Rehabilitation and Acute Care Psychiatry Centres. She has demonstrated her leadership in guiding and training dynamic team involved in the care of psychiatric patients.

Her area of interest are Child and adolescent psychiatry and Rehabilitation psychiatry. She is taking several roles and responsibilities in the development of Aram Institution and is also keen in participating in research and academic activities like Research, Publication, Teaching and Training and conducting out-reach and awareness programs.
